At Carl K. Gumpert, Inc., all shipments are handled with strict security protocols due to the high-value nature of fine jewelry.


Shipping Method

All orders are shipped via FedEx 2Day® service.

Every shipment includes:

  • Full insurance coverage (in transit only)
  • Adult signature required (18+)
  • Tracking and delivery confirmation

We do not use untracked or uninsured shipping methods under any circumstances.


Shipping Fee

  • A flat shipping fee applies to all orders
  • This fee covers:
    • Fully insured shipping
    • Secure packaging and handling
    • Signature-required delivery

Shipping fees are non-refundable.


Processing Time

  • Orders are processed after payment and verification are complete
  • Orders may be delayed for:
    • Fraud prevention review
    • Product availability or production

We reserve the right to hold or delay shipment until all verification requirements are satisfied.


Address & Delivery Restrictions

To ensure secure delivery and reduce fraud:

  • Orders may be shipped only to the billing address associated with the payment method
  • We reserve the right to:
    • Require shipment to a FedEx Hold at Location
    • Restrict delivery to verified addresses only
    • Refuse shipment to freight forwarders or high-risk locations

No Rerouting Policy

Once shipped:

  • Packages cannot be rerouted, redirected, or modified
  • Any attempt to alter delivery may result in order cancellation

Delivery Requirements

  • An adult must be present to sign for delivery
  • FedEx will not leave packages unattended

If delivery attempts fail:

  • The package may be returned to us
  • Additional shipping fees will apply for reshipment

Shipment Documentation & Recording

For security and fraud prevention purposes:

  • All shipments are documented and recorded in high-definition video during packing and fulfillment
  • This includes:
    • Item verification
    • Packaging process
    • Sealing and shipment preparation

These records are retained and may be used:

  • To verify order accuracy
  • In the investigation of claims or disputes
  • As evidence in chargebacks or fraud cases

Risk of Loss & Insurance

  • All shipments are fully insured while in transit only
  • Risk transfers to the customer upon confirmed delivery, including:
    • Signature confirmation
    • Carrier delivery scan

Once delivery is confirmed:

  • Insurance coverage ends
  • We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage

Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details.

We are not responsible for:

  • Delivery delays
  • Losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses

Reshipment due to address issues will require additional payment.


Lost or Damaged Shipments (In Transit)

  • Any issue must be reported immediately
  • Claims must comply with carrier timelines

Failure to report promptly may result in denial of claim.


International Shipping

We offer international shipping under the following conditions:

  • Shipments are sent via insured international carriers
  • Delivery timelines may vary due to customs

Duties & Taxes

  • All duties, VAT, and import fees are the customer’s responsibility

Customs

We are not responsible for:

  • Customs delays
  • Seizures or regulatory actions

International Risk Transfer

  • Risk transfers upon confirmed delivery by the carrier
  • Certain destinations may limit insurance coverage

Fraud Prevention & Verification

We reserve the right to:

  • Request identification
  • Verify billing and shipping details
  • Cancel orders suspected of fraud

Failure to comply will result in cancellation.
